Fourth of July in Park City

We got to go hang out in Park City over the 4th of July with Spencer's parents. We had a super duper time and it was SO nice to get away from all the crazy busy.

Here we are being festive, and getting to go on a bike ride. Park City has some really great trails, and we went exploring, and found some nice play areas for the chitlins, saw animals, and Cetera even tried to get up close and personal with the side of the road. (She survived with minor scrapes).
And we went swimming. The gals liked showing off their tiny hinies.
Grandpa got in some good reading time.
And some good silly time.
Grandma and Grandpa, the bear and Weeze.
Fortunately there was some sleeping time too.
We had fun on the Alpine slide, going to the Olympic museum, eating Mexican, and enjoying a little vacation!

Tooth no. 4

And to chronicle the loss of tooth no. 4, we took this slightly disturbing picture.
We had to finish by taking this less scary one that doesn't even show off the nice gap in front. She's been quite creative, sticking her straw through it, tongue, pencils, basically whatever will fit.
Growing up too fast......sniff.

The Weeza rides her TWO wheeler - June 30, 2010

It only took about four 'running alongside and holding on REALLY tight' times to get her to know how......and she did it!
My little 4 year old......riding her big bike, round and round and round.
And the culmination of he newfound skill: Knowing how to brake and brake hard. She even got it to skid a few times. A mommy couldn't be any prouder.
We had friends over to celebrate the momentous occasion. So naturally we had to have some pics of Owen, Sis, Ella, and the biker.
How nice is it to go on family bike rides together? My favorite thing is watching her little legs pump like crazy to keep up with Spencer's and my bike. We pedal once to her 25. Don't worry, we don't go far--but her bike riding is a really good pace for jogging. Go Squee!

Happy Birthday Spencie 2010!

I really like Spencer's birthday. This is for two reasons. First, I get to spoil him (or at least as much as possible). Second, he's only 3 years younger than me for a whole month.
This year my youngster turned 31. HOLY smokololies.
He got some presents.
And he really did get a proper birthday cake. Yes, it had it's issues, BUT it was tasty, and it had been eaten, mostly, at our little birthday bash two days prior. This was all that was left. Chocolate is STILL chocolate.
I love you my Spencie. I'm sorry that our little trip up the canyon to go roast weenies didn't turn out as planned. I'm sorry that Utah's mountains are so darn accessible that everyone and their grandma has to be out in all the available picnic spots. I'm sorry that the camp host couldn't allow us to stay at one of 12 open campsites for an hour and let us have our darn fun. I'm sorry I was grouchy and hungry. AND, I'm sorry we had to go to the mosquito-ridden park and roast our hotdogs and still got reprimanded for being there. Thanks for saying you still had a great birthday anyway.

Happy Birthday dearest dear (yes I know this is late). You are loved and admired, cherished and adored. :) We love you!
