good ole farm country

We have to do our annual visit to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point...so here we are. It makes me laugh that we have to pay to see things that I had in my backyard growing up (well no pigs)...but it's entertainment here! At least this time Aislyn touched the animals and didn't run off crying.

Bye Lowrys!

Can you tell Aislyn will miss Kate?

We'll miss all your sweet faces!

Me and Dano in Vegas

Dano and I went to Vegas last week. It was super fun to hang out and shop and eat of course. We went and saw Cirque de Soleil's Ka, and it was amazing. They are CRAZY and super fantastic. I kept gasping -loudly- when they would do something else death-defying, and Danaan kept shooshing me and laughing. If you ever get the chance to see them, do it! Anyway, Dano, thanks for the fun, and you are awesome!

Cute kids we'll miss

Why is everyone moving away?? We'll miss you sweet little Kimball......my girls think you are their baby brother. And we'll miss sweet little Canyon and Sage! Thank goodness you are staying Mr. Owen!

Itty Bitty Baseball

Aislyn just finished Itty Bitty Baseball at the Legacy Center. Her and her little friend Ella went together. Weeze was on the Yankees (heehee-sooooooooo cute). I think she enjoyed it for the most part, once mom figured out that bribery definitely WORKS. Aislyn took her special 'baseball gum' with her each time, and tucked it in her pocket, and somehow that gave her the courage to go and have fun with her team. This was a sure thing, or it was, until Lenny the Lion showed up and had Weeze cowering in her coach's lap. After he lost his shorts (luckily all we saw was fur), she loosened up enough to laugh and walk unattached from my leg.
Aislyn's favorite--smacking the ball on the string.
This is how they walked to each 'station', where they'd practice a baseball skill.
Group huddle
Her coach kinda scared me. She kind of manhandled all those little tykes, what with her towering 7 feet over them......

It's a gift of mine.......

I don't know why I do this to myself.......but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Here is my 2nd attempt last week at making cinnamon rolls. I overcooked the first batch, and since I was trying to make them for someone else......they were not fit to share. This time around I let them raise too much and they turned into cinnamon roll cake. Thanks Tricia for your pointers...and here ya go--told ya I'd post the pic. Seriously!!! Do I get points for effort!? I think my hidden talent is messing up whatever I try to make in the kitchen at LEAST three times before I get it right......and at least half the time I STILL don't have it right! Ah well......I buy into the fact that perserverance will conquer in the end. And yes...this was my first time making these blasted things! At least they still tasted ok. BLAH!

Fun at the townhouse

We spent 3 long days in Payson repainting our townhouse and getting it ready for new renters. What were we thinking?? It took WAY longer than either of us thought (naturally) and dreamed about painting for a week straight. AHHHH. Luckily we have VERY kind friends and family who helped us out both with painting and with entertaining the chillies--so thank you!!! Washing off that extra helping of dirt they collected outside playing while we were painting.
This is about 11 hours in.........that's why he looks especially handsome. He lives for hard work!!

So many cute girls....

Oh these little gals are just too cute......We love the Lowry girls! I know my girls will miss you two! Aislyn, Makenzie, Cetera, and Kate
