3rd of July

We tackled the fun stuff in Provo this year on the 3rd--early in the morning. This was pure genius I'm tellin' ya--due to NICE temperatures, and not huge crowds. (See, we got up early to go to the balloon launch and sorta missed it by 15 min....so we had to appease the monkeys in some manner). Bum shot in the bounce house.

My chillies.......touching a snake......willingly. I even touched it. And it was huge. Like longer than me. And I touched it. Sort of willingly. I only grimaced a little bit.

Uncle Dave's Visit

Dave came to visit in June! It was SUCH a nice visit--we actually had time to relax and talk and spend some quality time with Dave. It's been years since we've been able to do that, and it was long overdue. Dave brought one of his brood, Pikachu, and the little monkeys fell in love. They'd begin their day, asking, "Where's Piki?". Since Piki could pretty much fit in your hand, they weren't too hesitant about having him around, the hesitancy quickly turning to complete fascination. I think Dave feared for Piki's saftey more than once when the silliness started. What a sweet dog! We carried Piki all over the mall, Thanksgiving point, and even took him to a movie with us --ssssssshhh.

Bubby's Dance Recital

Our little performer got her day in the sun or on the stage. She LOVES to perform, and was esctatic about her big recital at the end of the dance term in June. She did a fabulous job with her little Spanish dance, smiling her huge C grin, and said she wasn't nervous one bit!

PRINCESS festival

I took the girls to the Princess festival in Lindon. It was mah-ve-lous! I almost think I had more fun than the wee princesses. It was held at an amazing private residence that had a real castle, bridge, cottage, playground, and museum. The 'princesses' followed the blue fairy around and had to complete 5 princess 'tests', and help banish a dark fairy that was bothering the princesses. If they passed the tests, they got to attend a real ball.
They helped Snow White not eat the poison apple, then went to the castle and hugged the Beast and helped him return to a real prince, then helped a prince release Rapunzel from the tower, and then told yet another prince how to awaken Sleeping Beauty (he suggested throwing a bucket of water on her, and all the little girls yelled, "NO KISS HER!!"), finally they told Prince Charming who to try the glass slipper on. They also helped the blue fairy fight Malificent (from Sleeping Beauty) and turn her good. The princes and princesses taught them how to dance, and the princes then danced with the little girls. Afterwards, they met Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, and saw Ariel and Aladdin and Jasmine. It was so creative, organized and inventive. We had such a fun day there! Getting a princess hair do--the front and back. I thought it was funny that Weeze was so willing to let someone else do her hair, since she screams like a banshee when I touch hers.

Family visit in Poky

The girls and I got to go see my cousins, who came to visit other family in Poky. I haven't seen them in YEARS, so it was long overdue. It was a short visit, but I'm glad we got to sneak in the time we did. It was so great seeing all of you!! My cousin Nate's little angel, Saeren, and Aislyn and my cousin Kristin.

good ole farm country

We have to do our annual visit to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point...so here we are. It makes me laugh that we have to pay to see things that I had in my backyard growing up (well no pigs)...but it's entertainment here! At least this time Aislyn touched the animals and didn't run off crying.
